Fast Forward Six Exciting Months

Our chubby cheeks turned SIX months on 2nd April 2011!

Distracted by the balloons

And again

• You were 63.5 cm tall and 7.2 kg a month ago.

• You are a good sleeper… we put you down at 7.30pm, you wake up once in the middle of the night a milk top-up and continue sleeping till 6.30-7am.

• You are such a morning person. You wake up with a smile every morning and that is mummy and daddy’s favourite part of the day.

• Despite being with you 24/7 everyday, I still miss you terribly when you go to bed. I look forward to waking up to your lovely smile.

• Day nap times are short and sweet, once in the morning for an hour and another after lunch.

• You refuse to have your milk from the bottle, a true breast fed baby.

• Started to wean you on solids, you absolutely love carrots (daddy’s favourite too) and apple sauce. Everything is organic and home made. You are still on single fruit/vege purees… can’t wait to start exploring your taste buds in a week’s time with combos.

Yummy! 

• You join us during meal times and sit at the head of the table (daddy has been demoted!).

• You rolled over for the first time a week after you turned six months. Once you mastered it, you showed off at Tok Ayah’s (grandpa) in front of the whole family. Everyone cheered and you loved the attention.

• You continue to babble and babble…. Even when you wanna call out for mummy and daddy, you don’t bother crying anymore. You just go “Eiii… Oooi… Kekeke” which is so adorable.

• Like most babies, your attention span is very short...

Ok mummy let's move on from this

• Bath time is your favourite time of the day. You love to splash about with your rubber duckies. Mummy and daddy specially installed a huge mirror by the side of your bath so you can admire the “baby” on the other side.

• Just started you on Gymboree classes. You love interacting with other babies. Somehow you recognize the regulars baby Martin, Liam and Jayden, and mummy will squeeze in a quick catch-up and compare-notes session with their mummies.

• Balloons fascinate you. You will try to grab it and when you do, you go on fifth gear and shake it non stop. You can even untangle an animal-shaped twisted balloon.

• You love to tuck in your lower lip... again just like daddy. It is the cutest look ever.

• You recently discovered if you give a "Pleaseeeeee carry me, pleaseeeeee" look while you are in your stroller... someone will. That someone is certainly not mummy. Daddy falls for it every single time!

• You are a true traveller. You have been to Melbourne and Singapore in less than two months and you slept through both flights like a contented baby.

• Your biggest fan is Tok Ayah. He managed to get the biggest laugh out of you recently. He continues to visit you every other day and you dote on the undivided love and attention he gives you.

• You continue to have the chubbiest cheeks ever and it is definitely a show stopper. Mummy loves burying my kisses in your cheeks until they turn pink!

• Faeq, Happy Six Month Birthday my little precious. You are half way there and every day I feel blessed to have you in my life. You continue to make mummy smile and I enjoy each and every milestone you are going through.
